Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to join our on-site team in Texas.

You will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facility equipment including generators, 3-phase electrical systems, UPS, PDUs, chillers, air handlers and related systems. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance, on-site support for contractors, and the ability to travel between data center locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Ability to travel between data center locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs of equipment.
