Job summary

Csquare in Weehawken, NJ is seeking a Data Center Facilities Technician 2 (Electrical / HVAC) to monitor, maintain and troubleshoot data center infrastructure on a swing shift. You will work on-site, support building systems, and respond to on-call emergencies as part of a 24/7 operation.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, collaborating with vendors, keeping documentation, and following MOPs. Shift, weekend, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification in critical facilities or data center field preferred.
• 2 years of mission critical facilities operations experience preferred.
• Ability to pass security clearance/background check may be required.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and manual tasks in a data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical infrastructure per manufacturers’ specs.
• Identify and troubleshoot root causes of problems in a 24/7 data center.
• Perform building rounds to ensure site integrity and SLA compliance.
• Assist and verify customer installation activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers as needed.
• Monitor building management systems and related tools for efficiency.
• Provide on-call support and emergency response when required.
• Follow methods of procedures and maintain documentation.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Technical certification(s) in critical facilities or data center field preferred

2-years of mission critical facilities operations experience preferred
