Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking an experienced Data Center Facilities Specialist to support operations at the Raleigh data center. The role focuses on optimal space utilization, cabling, power, and coordination of server room activities with non‑intrusive maintenance windows.

Responsibilities include on‑site operations, vendor coordination, asset management, and ensuring reliability through a structured on‑call rotation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 6 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 10 years' experience in Computer hardware and raised floor coordination.
Knowledge of Monitoring Systems for the Server Room Facility.
Ability to preserve confidentiality of information, to work weekends/evenings/ext days as operational needs dictate, to maintain Server Room Facilities monitoring software systems.

Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance - Designs, implements, and manages the physical placement of technology to maximize floor space, interconnectivity cabling, and power.
Space Planning - Ensures data center facilities and server rooms are physically functional and that space is efficiently utilized.
Operations Support - Provides continuous technical support for the data center on routine and complex issues.
Coordination - Serves as the point of contact and coordinator for all site activities.
On‑call - Participates in regular on‑call rotation.
