Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to support data center facility operations. You will maintain electrical, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems to ensure safe, reliable operation in a 24x7 mission-critical environment.

The role requires rotating shifts, overtime, and yearly recertification, with opportunities to advance through an operating qualification program within six months of training. Strong technical skills and a focus on safety are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial property settings.
• Appropriate trade license/permits may be required (Journeyman, Master Electrician, etc.).
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word; knowledge of energy management systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment and energy management.
• Conduct preventive maintenance per standards and manufacturer recommendations.
• Inspect and report on emergencies and safety compliance.
