Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to safeguard data center infrastructure in a 24/7 environment. You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and building systems, operate UPS and generator equipment, and document performance across day, swing, and night shifts.

The role requires hands-on experience with data center technologies, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to coordinate with vendors while maintaining detailed logs and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in data center operations, critical facilities, or related technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure including UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, and HVAC units.
• Use BMS, EPMS, and DCIM platforms to monitor performance, identify alarms, and respond to abnormal conditions.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance per schedules, procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Follow SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs accurately and consistently.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support incident response and escalation as needed.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor work to ensure safety and adherence to procedures.
• Maintain shift logs, readings, maintenance records, and incident documentation.
• Follow site safety requirements including LOTO, electrical safety, arc flash and OSHA procedures.
• Perform rounds and inspections to verify operation and spot issues early.
• Support commissioning, testing, and minor project work as assigned.
