Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Data Center Facilities Engineer to manage day-to-day data center operations across multiple facilities in the Midwest. You will focus on power and cooling systems, responding to 24/7 on-call needs and traveling between locations in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.

The role requires hands-on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing experience, BAS familiarity, and knowledge of UPS, generators, chiller/CRAC systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing experience in data centers.
• Ability to respond to 24/7 on-call and travel between facilities.
• Familiarity with BAS, UPS, generators, chillers, CRAH/CRAC.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Inspect facilities and report issues affecting operations.
• Respond to alerts and emergencies 24/7.
• Read blueprints and system diagrams to plan work.
• Assist with efficiency improvements and new data center components.
• Ensure data center operates at maximum efficiency.
