Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot critical data center infrastructure, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, CRAC, and cooling systems.

You will support multiple sites and coordinate with contractors to ensure safety and operational excellence. The role requires the ability to travel between sites, work long shifts up to 12 hours, and adapt to training periods.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance, or 2+ years of electrical facilities maintenance and 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance experience
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Vocational/technical training or an associate degree or above, or 4+ years of military experience

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Technical writing to support change management
• On-site support of contractors and vendors per practices and local law
• Role may support more than one location/site
