Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical data center facilities.

You will perform hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, operate and service UPS/PDUs, switchgear, CRAC units, and cooling systems, and ensure 24/7 reliability of critical infrastructure. The role involves rotating shifts, travel between data center sites as needed, and collaboration with engineers, facilities teams, and contractors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to travel between data centers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installations and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and drive to resolution; lead projects end-to-end.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors per procedures and local law.
• Role may support multiple locations/sites.
