Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician for its data center operations in Sparks, NV. You will be on the front line maintaining and troubleshooting critical electrical and mechanical systems, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, and fire/life safety equipment to support 24/7 uptime.

The role requires 1+ year of data center or mission-critical facilities experience and the ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work flexible shifts including night shifts/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment and ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
