Job summary

Amazon in Ohio is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical facilities, including standby diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling infrastructure. The role requires front-line hands-on work, flexibility in shifts, and collaboration with diverse teams to ensure high uptime.

Experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities, strong documentation, and ability to work a rotating schedule are essential.

Qualifications

1+ year of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ year of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
1+ year experience with Microsoft Office.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with practices and local laws.
