Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Data Center Facilities Technician to perform daily rounds and monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems across our facilities in Ohio.

You will troubleshoot issues, support PM programs, and collaborate with contractors to maintain 24/7 operation of mission-critical infrastructure. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, overnights, and weekends, with hands-on maintenance of switchgear, UPS, generators, chillers, and building

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Flexible work schedule including evenings, overnights, and weekends.
• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance, or 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installations and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution, and execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring all work aligns with practices and local regulations.
• Work schedule changes depending on site needs; shifts can be up to 12 hours and may rotate; some locations have on-call rotations.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
