Job summary

Hanwha Energy USA seeks a Manager of Engineering to lead land preparation for data center construction. You will coordinate with contractors to ensure utilities—solar, water, and fiber—are integrated into sites and projects travel up to 50%.

The role demands a Civil/Electrical/Mechanical engineering background with 5+ years in engineering and leadership, plus strong solar energy knowledge and data center experience. PE license preferred; travel and leadership responsibilities included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in engineering roles with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
• Proven experience in land development and utility coordination for large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems, especially solar energy.
• Experience with data center infrastructure and utility requirements.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Land Engineering: Oversee all engineering activities related to land preparation for data center construction.
• Utility Coordination: Facilitate installation and integration of utilities with contractors for timely delivery.
• Project Management: Plan timelines and budgets; manage multiple projects to meet standards.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to achieve objectives.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain safety standards.
• Technical Expertise: Guide the team and stay updated on renewable energy practices and tech.
• Water Sourcing & Supply Agreements: Negotiate water sourcing with municipalities and providers.
• Due Diligence: Assess zoning, environmental constraints, and permitting for site feasibility.
