Job summary

Zenlayer is seeking Internet Data Center (IDC) Engineers/Technicians to be stationed at its data center in Akron, Ohio. The role requires physical strength, flexibility in shifts, and willingness to provide ongoing IDC coverage.

Responsibilities include installing and testing servers and network hardware, cabling, asset tracking, on-site support within SLA, and coordinating RMA processes. Mandarin fluency is required, and travel up to 20%+ is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to troubleshoot networking systems onsite and perform hardware updates.
• Willingness to travel 20%+.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
• Flexibility to rotate shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install and test servers and network hardware in data centers.
• Perform moves/adds/changes and cable installations per work orders.
• Maintain safe operations and data protection protocols.
• Track assets, audits, and inventory.
• Provide on-site smart-hands support within SLA.
• Report service availability and capacity usage.
• Coordinate RMA and equipment receipt/shipping.
