Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our Plano, TX team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in Python development, shell scripting, Linux, REST APIs, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, with a proven ability to design, automate, and secure database platforms and workflows at scale.

The role is hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite) with opportunities to work on cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with global clients.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Python and shell scripting on Linux for automation and tooling.
• 10+ years as a SQL Server engineer or database developer with strong PostgreSQL and MSSQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS and database administration in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of database security, including native audit, encryption, entitlements, and password vaulting.
• Proficiency with REST API integration and scripting for platform operations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and Scrum values, including Jira and CI/CD tools.
