About the Role

We are building out our first US office and physical trading infrastructure - and we’re looking for a hands-on Data Center Engineer to join our team. Our Miami office is an exciting start-up operation with ambitious growth plans, and you will be a central part of shaping our high-availability, low-latency environment across the New Jersey Triangle, and beyond. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in hardware infrastructure and deployment, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to go the extra mile to support our expansion.

Da Vinci offers an exciting and dynamic work environment, where employees are given the freedom to come up with great ideas and the space to push these to completion. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a successful and fast-growing company.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, switches, firewalls, and other critical equipment
  • Manage rack and stack, cabling, patch panel layouts and power planning
  • Coordinate remote hands and perform on-site support across data center facilities
  • Schedule and manage hardware and network changes with minimal down-time
  • Coordinate deployments with exchanges and colocation vendors
  • Ensure uptime, performance, and capacity planning of critical systems, including monitoring environmental thresholds such as temperature, humidity, and power
  • Contribute to low-latency initiatives in collaboration with trading, network, and systems teams
  • Evaluate new hardware releases for performance and latency improvements
  • Optimize and document infrastructure layouts, patch schedules, and standard operating procedures
  • Keep an up-to-date asset inventory
  • Develop and improve change management workflows and ongoing maintenance plans

Requirements:

  • 3–6 years of experience in data center operations or hardware engineering
  • Prior experience working in exchange colocation environments is a strong plus
  • Strong knowledge of servers, network switches, firewalls and other hardware equipment, and best practices of racking and connectivity in data centers
  • Familiarity with out-of-band management
  • Ability to travel to domestic data centers as needed (~10–20%) and flexibility to perform off-hours support and after-market activities occasionally
  • Familiarity with monitoring IT environments for general performance and critical thresholds
  • Good understanding of data center requirements and the ability to translate them into practical solutions
  • An opportunity to work in a high-tech, driven environment
  • Competitive base salary based on experience
  • Excellent performance-based variable pay and growth opportunities
  • Outstanding performance is also rewarded with shareholding in the company
  • Relocation package when moving across states
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 25 vacation days each year
