Job description

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Respond to alarms and incidents (power, cooling, environmental)
  • Support vendors during maintenance and repairs
  • Follow change management and safety procedures
  • Install, terminate, and test
  • Copper (Cat6/6a) and fiber (SM/MM) cabling
  • Perform cross-connects and patching in meet-me rooms
  • Rack and stack servers, switches, and network gear
  • Label and document all cabling and infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot physical connectivity issues
  • Perform remote hands support (reboots, swaps, visual checks)
  • Maintain inventory and asset tracking
  • Follow ticketing systems and SLAs
  • Assist with capacity planning and space utilization
Facilities / MEP
  • Basic understanding of:
  • Electrical systems (single-phase, three-phase)
  • Cooling systems and airflow management
  • Familiarity with:
  • Preventative maintenance practices
  • Safety standards (LOTO, PPE)
Network / IT
  • Understanding of:
  • Structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA)
  • Fiber types, connectors (LC, SC, MPO)
  • Basic networking (IP, switches, patching)
