Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an Energy Marshal to lead energization and isolation activities on our projects. You will audit energy isolation practices, guide teams on safe procedures, and ensure LOTO compliance while supporting commissioning from pre-energization through turnover.

The role requires a strong safety background, excellent communication, and 4+ years in energy isolation or related fields, with NFPA 70E certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years in energy isolation, safety, or related field.
• NFPA 70E Certification.
• Experience with DC construction and commissioning standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead energization and isolation activities with a focus on safety and procedures.
• Audit energy isolation practices and ensure compliance with standards.
• Review commissioning plans and quality reports on site.
• Manage LOTO program and pre-energization inspections.
• Provide SME guidance on energy isolation to project teams.
