Job summary

Hut 8 is seeking a Legal Counsel (Real Estate & Development) to support a data center and energy infrastructure portfolio. The role emphasizes front-end development, site control, diligence, and deal execution, working closely with development, operations, asset management, energy origination and strategic financing teams.

You will draft and negotiate diverse development documents, coordinate with external partners, and manage due diligence to ensure site readiness and alignment with strategic

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state and in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate, infrastructure, or energy law.
• Proven track record drafting and negotiating front-end real estate documents (LOIs, options, purchase and sale agreements, easements, access agreements).
• Experience coordinating with title companies, surveyors, and environmental consultants on large-scale transactions.
• Familiarity with project finance or real estate loan transactions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate LOIs, land options, purchase agreements, easements, access agreements, tax abatement agreements, shared facilities agreements, construction contracts, long lead equipment procurement agreements, costs in aid of construction agreements, interconnection agreements and other development documents.
