Job summary

Jacobs seeks an Electrical Start-Up/Commissioning Specialist to lead energization, commissioning plans and startup activities for data center projects in a global engineering environment. You will develop start-up plans, document execution, and ensure safe, effective startup of electrical systems and power distribution.

You will coordinate with OEM technicians and client teams, covering switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, and controls while embracing a hybrid work policy that blends

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Start-Up and Commissioning experience in data center or mission-critical facilities.
• Solid understanding of data center electrical systems and power reliability.
• Familiarity with electrical commissioning standards and best practices.
• Willingness to travel and work at multiple client locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop Start-Up and Commissioning Plans and execution strategies.
• Assist with system Start-Up and Commissioning Plans for all electrical systems.
• Generate and execute Start-Up and Commissioning documents per industry best practices.
• Coordinate with OEM Service technicians and construction management.
• Apply knowledge of medium voltage switchgear, transformers, UPS, ATS, and power distribution.
