Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Start-Up/Commissioning Specialist to join the data center team. You will develop start-up plans, create commissioning documentation, and execute electrical system start-ups for mission-critical facilities.

The role involves energization, testing, and coordination with OEMs and construction teams. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in data center commissioning, with travel flexibility and strong collaboration with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Start-Up and Commissioning experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Understanding of data center electrical systems and power reliability requirements.
• Knowledge of industry standards for electrical commissioning.
• Willingness to travel and work at client locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop Start-Up and Commissioning plans and execution strategies.
• Prepare Start-Up and Commissioning documentation per best practices.
• Lead energization, commissioning, and visual inspection of power systems.
• Coordinate with OEM service technicians and construction teams as needed.
• Apply knowledge of MV switchgear, transformers, gensets, UPS, and controls.
