Job summary
Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Start-Up and Commissioning Specialist to join our Data Center team. You will develop startup and commissioning plans, generate documents, and execute tests for electrical and utility systems in hyperscale data centers and enterprise facilities.
You will lead startup activities, coordinate with OEMs and construction teams, and apply knowledge of medium voltage switchgear, transformers, UPS, ATS, and battery systems to deliver safe, reliable power infrastructure for
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of Start-Up and Commissioning experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities
- Understanding of data center electrical systems and power reliability requirements
- Understanding of industry standards and best practices for electrical commissioning
- Willingness to travel and work at client locations
Responsibilities
- Assist with Start-Up and Commissioning Plan and execution strategies
- Assist with Start-Up/Commissioning Plans for all electrical systems
- Create and execute Start-Up/Commissioning documents
- Perform startup of electrical equipment safely and effectively
- Coordinate with OEM service technicians and construction teams
