Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Start-Up/Commissioning Specialist to lead start-up and commissioning for electrical systems in data centers. You will develop plans, prepare documentation, energize and Commission equipment for power distribution systems, UPS, switchgear, and related infrastructure.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in data center start-up. Hybrid work model with travel to various client sites is expected, offering collaboration with a global

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Start-Up and Commissioning experience in the data center industry or mission-critical facilities
• Understanding of data center electrical systems and power reliability requirements
• Understanding of industry standards and best practices for electrical commissioning
• Flexibility to travel and work at various client locations
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and able to coordinate with teams

Responsibilities

• Develop Start-Up and Commissioning Plans and execution strategies
• Create and execute Start-Up and Commissioning documents per industry best practices
• Assist with energization, commissioning, and visual inspection of electrical systems
• Coordinate with OEM Service technicians and construction management as needed
• Support multiple hyperscale data centers, colocation, and enterprise operators
