Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks an Electrical OFCI Design Manager to lead design management and coordination of owner-furnished, contractor-installed electrical equipment for a hyperscale data centre campus. You will enforce standards, oversee long-lead procurement, review submittals, and guide design teams to align with schedule, cost and commissioning requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
• Graduate degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant construction project management experience.
• 2+ years managing large high-performing multi-discipline teams in a consulting environment.
• Proven track record of managing successful project management service delivery for clients.
• Strong business development ambition and demonstrated experience in growing business.
• Experience in major construction sectors including commercial real estate, data centers, life sciences, industrial manufacturing, natural resources, etc.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project management team and ensure they deliver on all accountabilities.
• Lead communications with the client and oversee the project management team services.
• Conduct market research and analyze official data.
• Produce thought leadership reports providing insights into the construction market.
• Manage Project Management Services including resource, financial, business development and training aspects.
• Set strategy with the team in line with the Business Plan.
• Develop people and promote a culture of learning, respect and inclusivity.
• Capture and share knowledge in internal databases; drive process improvements.
• Ensure quality standards and participate in ISO audits.
• Develop plans with risk mitigation, KPIs and control measures aligned to goals.
• Coordinate internal audits and represent the office for external certifications.
• Understand market dynamics and build a client pipeline; pursue cross-selling opportunities.
• Engage in meetings with senior leadership and prepare presentations.
• Monitor revenue, margins and resource needs using internal tools.
• Prepare proposals/RFP responses for new clients/projects.
• Attend networking events with directors.
• Mentor staff and plan for future staffing needs.
• Be a role model and foster a one-business culture.
