Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Cleared Data Center Electrical Field Engineer to provide full life-cycle support for AWS Data Centers, from design inception through site improvements and maintenance. The role requires field and office work across multiple regions, with emphasis on reliability, safety, and collaboration with diverse teams.

Ideal candidates will have an electrical engineering background, data center experience, and the ability to lead complex projects while interfacing with operations,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
NETA or ASHRAE certification or commissioning education courses.
Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission-critical facilities, especially data centers.
Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

Review design and equipment submittals for new data centers in the region.
Troubleshoot, perform RCA, and document corrective actions for site/equipment failures.
Support operational issues with training and SOP reviews, including critical equipment.
Lead upgrades and design solutions to increase capacity, availability, and efficiency.
Coordinate with design engineering, server hardware, EH&S to maintain standards and reliability.
