Job summary

Cantor Fitzgerald is seeking a Data Center Building Engineer to operate and maintain critical infrastructure in a Dallas facility. The ideal candidate will be a licensed electrician or have strong electrical field experience, and will manage HVAC, electrical, fire/safety, and backup systems to ensure uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in critical data center operations engineering (5+ years).
• Knowledge of base building and critical system equipment.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and work order software.
• CFC refrigerant certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and respond to system faults and emergencies.
• Follow SOPs, MOPs, EOPs and change control processes.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local codes.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on base building and critical systems.
• Test and monitor HVAC, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Record readings and recommend adjustments to ensure proper operation.
• Coordinate work with contractors and manage logs.
• Ensure safety of tenants and continuous facility operation.
• Maintain organized building files.
