Job summary

Amazon Seattle is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for Data Center Design Engineering to design electrical distribution systems for AWS data centers. You will own concepts from concept to permit and construction documents, defining critical equipment specs and reviewing submittals.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and knowledge of mission-critical facilities. You will collaborate with utilities, manufacturers, and internal groups, with up to 20% travel to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.

Responsibilities

Data center electrical designs and collaboration with other disciplines to create a construction document set.
Create designs that meet quality and budget requirements.
Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction for code compliance.
Review and approve equipment submittals.
Define project scope and provide technical support during construction.
Collaborate with commissioning teams to test and validate installations.
