Job summary

Black Box is seeking a Data Center EHS Specialist to lead safety on a landmark data center construction project in Illinois. You will implement PMO-aligned safety practices, oversee day-to-day operations, and drive safety excellence across project deliverables and timelines on-site.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in construction safety, experience with large data center or cabling projects, and a Bachelor’s in occupational health & safety or BCSP certification. OSHA 10/30 training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Plans and implements safety policies and procedures per OSHA regulations and IIPP.
• Develops, implements, and delivers safety training programs.
• Maintains safety documentation including audits, inspections, PTPS, JHAs, and SDSs.

Responsibilities

• Inspects facilities to identify hazards, recommends corrective actions, and verifies implementation.
• Participates in accident investigations and supports materials for hearings and insurance cases.
• Communicates safety expectations clearly and coordinates with project teams on-site.
