Job summary

Vantage Data Centers LLC is seeking a Director of Environmental Health & Safety on-site in Abilene, Texas, for a major AI data center project. You will lead the EHS strategy across white space construction, equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities, coordinating with GC and vendors.

The role requires a senior EHS leader with a track record in complex construction, OSHA expertise, and strong risk management skills to ensure safe execution and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Typically 10+ years of progressive EHS experience in complex construction or infrastructure environments.
• Demonstrated leadership of EHS programs and contractor performance on large projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction requirements and hierarchy of controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of the Owner/Developer EHS strategy for Project Frontier’s white space scope across construction and commissioning activities.
• Build and deploy the EHS team based on project risk, schedule, work intensity, and field conditions.
• Partner with Construction, Commissioning, Operations, Engineering, Security, and project leadership to integrate EHS into decisions and planning.
• Provide EHS governance for data halls, electrical and mechanical systems, tools, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS requirements and project obligations.
• Lead or oversee incident investigations and implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
