Job summary

Worldwide Mission Critical, based in Plano, TX, is seeking an Development Associate to support the development project management team in the early-stage planning and execution of data center projects. You will assist in site due diligence, entitlement research, design coordination, and budget and schedule tracking, gaining hands-on exposure to the full development lifecycle of data center projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Real Estate Development, Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in construction, real estate development, project management, or a related field.
• Internship in development or mission critical environments is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support Development Project Managers in day-to-day coordination of data center development projects, tracking tasks and milestones.
• Assist with due diligence activities on new project opportunities, including site research and feasibility assessments.
• Research land use regulations, zoning requirements, and entitlement processes for project planning.
• Coordinate design consultant teams by scheduling meetings and distributing project communications.
• Assist in preparation and tracking of project budgets and schedules, flagging variances.
• Support RFP processes and bid leveling by organizing vendor submissions and comparisons.
• Maintain project documentation including meeting minutes and logs.
• Assist with master planning and programming tasks, data gathering and site analysis.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants, and vendors under senior mentorship.
• Contribute to internal reporting and special projects as needed.
