Job summary

Data Center Frontier LLC in Denver, CO seeks a Director of Data Center Engineering Design to lead electrical and mechanical infrastructure design for new and existing facilities. You will guide project teams, interface with stakeholders, and ensure quality, performance, and compliance across the lifecycle.

The role requires 7–15+ years in data center engineering with leadership experience, strong MEP knowledge, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree or PE/EIT license a plus.
• 7–15+ years of data center engineering experience with 3+ years in leadership or managerial role.
• Experience with hyperscale data center design and construction.
• Familiarity with NEC, codes, and data center best practices.
• Proficiency in engineering tools: AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, MATLAB, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering design projects for data centers, focusing on electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, switchgear, chillers, CRAHs, generators, liquid cooling).
• Develop and maintain design contracts, specifications, and standards.
• Mentor engineers and SMEs, providing strategic and technical leadership.
• Manage schedules and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design with business needs and client requirements.
• Conduct constructability reviews and cost/schedule feedback throughout design and construction.
