Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Technical Project Manager, Site Deployment to lead the seamless transition of new data centers to Site Operations. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Business Operations, ensuring operational readiness at turnover.

You will manage schedules, review commissioning docs, and guide staffing, training, and standardization across multiple greenfield sites, with travel up to 10% within North America.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined data center or mission-critical project management experience.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects with schedules, budgets, and acceptance criteria.
• 2+ years in a technical role in Critical Facilities Operations or Maintenance Operations.
• 2+ years in industrial Construction or Commissioning in a technical capacity.
• 2+ years of Project Management experience managing cross-functional projects.
• Ability to review technical documents such as commissioning reports and electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead teams across departments and communicate with stakeholders.
• PMP or similar certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%, including international travel in North America.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Business Operations, and Site Operations teams to transition new data centers to Site Operations.
• Develop and manage deployment project schedules, milestone tracking, and risk mitigation plans for site readiness.
• Perform technical reviews of commissioning documentation, TAB reports, and turnover deliverables.
• Recruit, staff, onboard, and train new Operations teams at greenfield sites for operational launch.
• Ensure Operations protocols and standards are in place for new facilities to achieve readiness.
• Oversee quality of Commissioning and Facility Acceptance to deliver a sound facility to Site Operations.
• Maintain stakeholder communication across all project phases and update on progress.
• Track deliverables and elevate risks with mitigation strategies.
• Lead formal technical reviews of O&M manuals, as-built drawings, permits, and commissioning reports.
• Ensure site readiness, safety protocols, permits, and asset management are in place.
