Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking an IDND Project Lead within the Global Network Capacity Delivery organization.

You will scope and plan interdependent capacity scaling projects across multiple data center locations, review forecasts, and ensure resources are available for execution. You will apply expertise in servers, switches, and networking devices to deploy cutting-edge infrastructure in high-pressure environments and coordinate with Install/Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain &

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience
• 2+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience in computer networking
• Experience working with Linux operating systems
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical point of contact for internal teams.
• Perform Process Improvement. Gather data on common failures or waste and work with supporting teams to get them resolved / minimized / eliminated
• Perform rigorous hardware verification inspections to insure quality on server racks, networking devices, and associated components.
• Launch new network capacity
• May be required to assist Deployment Technicians with rack deployments on heavy deployment days or Cabling team
• Stay customer focused
• Exhibit excellent judgment
• Keep high standards - never be satisfied with the status quo
