Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Critical Facility Engineer (Controls Monitoring/Alarms) to join the team in Hoover, AL. The role focuses on maintaining critical mechanical, electrical, and control systems in a data-center environment and delivering timely client service.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating with vendors while ensuring safety and reliability of operations. On-site work with travel as needed and the ability to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School/GED is required.
• Two years’ experience in a similar environment with HVAC or electrical knowledge is helpful.
• Familiarity with PLC controls and industrial automation systems is preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service critical data center mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Provide on-site client service and respond to emergencies and requests promptly.
• Coordinate with vendors, monitor contractors, and ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Maintain accurate work orders and document activities for the client.
