Job summary

Salute Inc. is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician in Manassas, VA to ensure cooling, mechanical, and supporting infrastructure for mission‑critical IT equipment.

The role involves daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating with DCOs, clients, and vendors to uphold high reliability. You will work on high-density in‑row heat exchangers, with a foundation in pumps, motors, VFDs, BMS, chilled water, and air‑handling systems, and travel up to 50% for remote site projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and minimum of 1 year HVAC or similar experience.
• Ability to read diagrams and schematics for mechanical and electrical functions of data center systems.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or greater.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Travels up to 50% as needed for remote site projects.
• Performs L2 – L5 commissioning checklists as deliverables to the customer.
• Develops approaches to keep operational costs down and improve efficiency for Mechanical and Electrical systems.
• Tests performance of electromechanical assemblies and multimeters.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, diagrams or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of processes.
• Inspects equipment for defects, leaks, and potential issues.
• Installs electrical/mechanical parts and hardware in housings/assemblies with hand tools.
• Aligns, fits or assembles component parts using hand/power tools.
• Provides feedback on effectiveness of existing standards and processes.
• Works with contractors and consultants for QA of system expansions, corrections, and upgrades.
• Collaborates on tracking and completing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
