Job summary

Quality Technology Services seeks a Critical Environment Engineer to support data center operations, coordinating engineering for electrical and mechanical systems and ensuring uptime and compliance. The role requires leadership through influence and a proactive engineering orientation in large-scale environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience with data centers, EMS, UPS, fire systems, and large cooling systems, and must be able to work a 7x24x365 schedule and travel up to 50% as

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or professional equivalent.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in technical or critical environments (data center, nuclear power, hospital, etc.).
• HVAC or critical power certifications or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to other Data Center locations.
• US Citizenship required by federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for 24x7 data center operations to achieve uptime and SLA compliance.
• Assist site construction, installation, and testing per standards; witness commissioning.
• Coordinate customer move-ins and turn-ups with stakeholders; manage power circuits and installations.
• Assess infrastructure and operations per QTS policies and procedures.
• Support SOP/MOP/EOP and change control processes.
