Job summary

QTS Realty Trust seeks a Critical Environment Engineer to coordinate and implement electrical and mechanical systems for mission-critical facilities. This role targets proactive planning, hands-on technical support, and close collaboration with the development team across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates have experience with data center environments, UPS, generators, cooling systems, and safety/compliance standards, plus travel up to 50% to other locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or professional equivalent.
• Five+ years of engineering experience in data centers or critical environments.
• HVAC or critical power certifications or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for 24x7 data center operations to achieve uptime and SLA compliance.
• Assist site construction activities and ensure testing adheres to standards.
• Witness equipment testing during commissioning and validate operations.
• Support customer move-ins, turn-ups, and site technical solutions with stakeholders.
• Maintain SOPs/MOPs/EOPs and participate in change control processes.
