Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor for a large-scale data center program near Jefferson, Indiana, outside Louisville, KY. The role focuses on cost management across estimating, reporting, and final accounting in a fast-paced construction environment.

The candidate should have a 3–5 year track record in cost management, a relevant degree, and strong communication with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a cost management role within construction.
• RICS accreditation is valuable.
• Experience supporting cost management on data center, industrial, or large campus projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on strategies, manage prequalification of vendors, assess proposals, bids, and bid levelling documents, and manage the appointment process.
• Develop project estimates (construction, fees, direct costs) and support value engineering and risk assessment.
• Establish cost reporting schedules, review reports, track budgets, and maintain risk registers.
• Review payment applications, evaluate entitlements, review change orders, and provide client recommendations.
• Monitor invoicing process and benchmark performance against similar projects.
• Support final accounting activities, post-contract audits, and closeouts.
• Participate in post-contract reviews to capture lessons learned and support closeout procedures.
• Use Bid Analysis Sheets, Change Control Forms, Take-off Software, and Cost Estimating Software.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role.
