Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor for a large-scale data center program near Jefferson, about 40 miles from Indianapolis. The role emphasizes change management, cost control, and robust commercial strategies within a multi-phase campus.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree and 3–5 years of cost management experience in construction, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. On-site presence may evolve with client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a cost management role within construction.
• Experience supporting change management, change order review, and cost control.
• RICS accreditation or pursuit is valuable.
• Experience on medium to large-scale projects, preferably data centers or industrial campuses.
• Construction consultancy experience and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on commercial strategies and change management processes.
• Manage vendor prequalification, proposals, bids, and interviews.
• Support change orders, evaluate and negotiate changes.
• Maintain change logs, contingency tracking, and cost registers.
• Develop project estimates including construction, fees, and direct costs.
• Establish cost reporting schedules and monitor budgets and risk registers.
• Provide cost analyses for change events to support decisions.
• Review payments, contractor entitlements, and change orders for cost control.
• Assist in cost impact assessments due to scope changes or design.
• Monitor invoicing processes and perform post-contract closeout.
• Benchmark against similar projects and participate in post-contract reviews.
