Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to support large-scale data center construction projects. You will provide comprehensive cost management across the project lifecycle, collaborating with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure sound commercial outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction, preferably with RICS accreditation or progress toward it, and strong knowledge of procurement, value management, and value

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in cost management within construction.
• RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Advising client on strategies, managing prequalification of vendors, assessing proposals, bids, and bid levelling documents, and presenting recommendations.
• Developing project estimates for construction, fees, direct work and other costs, reviewing estimates, and presenting value engineering and risk assessments.
• Establishing cost reporting schedules, reviewing cost reports and forecasts, and maintaining the commercial risk register.
• Reviewing payment applications, advising on entitlements, handling change orders, and applying dispute prevention/management practices.
• Managing invoicing, benchmarking performance, and supporting final accounting and post-contract reviews.
