Job summary

Danfoss seeks a Senior Business Development Manager, Strategy, Incubation to drive market and product line extensions in the data center cooling space. You will oversee business cases, value propositions, pricing strategies, market positioning, and GTM plans, interfacing between the Incubation team and external customers.

The role collaborates with engineering, sales, and system application teams to extend product offerings and explore new markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
• MBA or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Eight (8) years of professional experience in product management, product marketing, or commercial strategy roles with substantial B2B technology experience.
• Strong commercial acumen, including market sizing, pricing analysis, business case construction, and financial modelling.
• Proven ability to launch new products into demanding B2B markets, including launch readiness and post-launch performance.
• Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with engineering organisations and translate between technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Prior product management or commercial strategy experience in data center, thermal management, cooling, semiconductor or related infrastructure sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive business cases for concepts advancing through the Incubation funnel, including market sizing, revenue projections, gross margin analysis, investment requirements, and ROI calculations.
• Define clear, differentiated value propositions for each subsystem concept, translating technical capabilities into quantified customer benefits relevant to hyperscale operators, colocation providers, enterprise data center operators, and server OEMs/ODMs.
• Develop go-to-market plans for concepts approaching market readiness, including target customer prioritisation, channel strategy, launch sequencing, and supporting commercial enablement materials.
• Define market sizes, market growth, market share, technology trends, and competitive risk to select high-potential markets and applications.
• Visit and meet customers to gain feedback, market knowledge, and assess opportunities to commercialize new solutions.
• Acquire knowledge on competitors, market share and potential threats to Danfoss from competitors and position Danfoss offerings accordingly.
• Establish a high-performance business development culture with external focus, and conduct performance management and professional development for regional teams.
