Job summary

Data Center Frontier LLC is seeking a Manager of Applications Engineering for its Charlotte, NC area. This hands-on leadership role builds and guides an experienced team delivering equipment selections, performance data, submittals, and proposals across air- and liquid-cooling portfolios.

Ideal candidates combine HVAC/cryogenics experience with proven people leadership, and strong communication for customers, reps and engineers. Hybrid remote arrangement available with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• PE license or Certified Energy Manager credential a plus.
• 8+ years in applications, sales, or systems engineering in HVAC/refrigeration/thermal equipment.
• 5+ years as a Design Manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Applications Engineering team; recruit and onboard as needed.
• Own accuracy and timely delivery of equipment selections and submittals.
• Establish standard turnaround times for selections and pricing support; review technical deliverables.
• Lead complex technical guidance on chillers, liquid cooling, CDUs, and related systems.
• Support sales/engineers meetings to establish credibility and influence specifications.
• Travel to customer sites approx. 25% and monthly visits to company location.
