Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Controls Technician to support the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems for data centers and infrastructure. You will work hands-on with BMS, EPMS, SCADA systems, PLCs, and other industrial controls to ensure reliable operation of cooling, power distribution, and safety protocols.

You will collaborate with engineers to maintain automated controls, monitor performance, and respond to operational needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a technical field (Controls Technology, Mechatronics, Automation).
• 3+ years hands-on technician experience with industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and modification of BMS, EPMS, and SCADA systems for data centers, following engineer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of critical systems (e.g., chillers, pumps, power distribution) using PLCs and industrial control technologies.
• Support the preparation and updating of HMI graphics and interfaces for system monitoring.
• Maintain automated controls for fire safety and emergency shutdown procedures (ESOP).
• Help monitor and report on key metrics like PUE and infrastructure performance via dashboards.
• Coordinate with teams to respond to utility grid events and adjust systems as needed.
