Job summary

SpaceXAI in Southaven, MS is seeking a Controls Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot data center control systems. You will work hands-on with BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLCs, ensuring cooling, power distribution, and safety systems operate reliably.

Work with engineers to refine automated controls, monitor performance via dashboards, and respond to operational needs in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential to collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on technician experience with industrial control systems.
• Experience with Ignition SCADA or similar programming.
• Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal or equivalent PLC programming.
• Experience with industrial control projects for data centers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and modification of BMS, EPMS, and SCADA systems for data centers, following engineer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of critical systems (e.g., chillers, pumps, power distribution) using PLCs and industrial control technologies.
• Support the preparation and updating of HMI graphics and interfaces for system monitoring.
• Maintain automated controls for fire safety and emergency shutdown procedures (ESOP).
• Help monitor and report on key metrics like PUE and infrastructure performance via dashboards.
• Coordinate with teams to respond to utility grid events and adjust systems as needed.
