Job summary

SR2 in Chantilly, VA is expanding its team to support data center and critical infrastructure projects. The role focuses on controls upgrades, troubleshooting, and commissioning across BMS/EPMS, combining hands-on field work with technical problem solving.

You will work with project teams, develop and modify control logic, and contribute to startup, validation, and system optimization. Up to 50% travel is required; on-site at client sites with fast-paced environments that demand reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience with BMS/BAS or HVAC systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Background in controls engineering, automation, or SCADA.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, or industrial control systems.
• Experience with PLC programming or HMI/SCADA platforms.
• Familiarity with control logic and sequences of operation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and resolving complex BMS and EPMS system issues.
• Supporting controls upgrades and system improvements.
• Working with project teams during commissioning and functional testing.
• Developing and modifying control logic from sequences of operation.
• Acting as a technical resource for field teams and stakeholders.
• Supporting startup, validation, and system optimization activities.
• Participating in service work, maintenance, and on-call support.
