Job summary

SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment | Certified B Corporation™ in Chantilly, VA is seeking an HVAC/BMS controls specialist to support data center and critical infrastructure projects. The role focuses on controls upgrades, troubleshooting, and commissioning in high-performance environments.

You will work hands-on with live systems, develop and modify control logic, and support startup, validation, and on-call duties, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Experience with BMS, BAS, or HVAC systems.
• Background in controls engineering, automation, or SCADA.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, or industrial control systems.
• Experience supporting commissioning, startup, or field troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and resolving complex BMS and EPMS system issues.
• Supporting controls upgrades and system improvements.
• Working alongside project teams during commissioning and functional testing.
• Developing and modifying control logic from sequences of operation.
• Acting as a technical resource for field teams and project stakeholders.
• Supporting startup, validation, and system optimisation activities.
• Participating in service work, maintenance, and on-call support as needed.
