Job summary

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in controls engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting controllers, sensors, relays, and networks.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and network testers.

Responsibilities

• Commission and deploy control system hardware and software.
• Test, startup, and validate controllers, sensors, and field devices.
• Troubleshoot controls, networking, communication, and monitoring systems.
• Investigate and resolve system alarms, faults, and performance issues.
• Maintain system documentation, configurations, and asset records.
• Support preventive maintenance and reliability initiatives.
• Follow safety, operational, and change management procedures.

About the Role

• Commission and deploy control system hardware and software.
• Perform testing, startup, and validation of controllers, sensors, and field devices.
• Troubleshoot controls, networking, communication, and monitoring systems.
• Investigate and resolve system alarms, faults, and performance issues.
• Maintain system documentation, configurations, and asset records.
• Support preventive maintenance and reliability initiatives.
• Follow established safety, operational, and change management procedures.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Controls Engineering, Building Automation, HVAC Controls, Instrumentation, or Commissioning.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting controllers, sensors, relays, and industrial communication networks.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and network testing tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with BMS, BAS, and EPMS platforms.
• Data center or critical facilities experience.
• Knowledge of low-voltage copper and fiber infrastructure.
• ISA CCST certification.
• Military technical background in electronics, controls, HVAC, instrumentation, or power systems.
