Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a Data Center Controls Technician (BMS/EPMS) in Stafford, VA for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on deployment, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building management and electrical power monitoring systems in mission-critical data centers.

Ideal candidates bring 1–5+ years in controls or HVAC, experience with commissioning and field devices, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years in Controls, Automation, HVAC or BAS/BMS.
• Experience commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with low-voltage systems and industrial controls.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission BMS and EPMS systems.
• Perform point-to-point testing of sensors, controllers, and HMIs.
• Troubleshoot controls, automation, and networking issues.
• Load software and configurations onto controllers, IPCs, and HMIs.
• Install, replace, calibrate, and validate field devices and sensors.
• Read electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical docs.
• Support commissioning and integrated systems testing.
• Maintain system graphics, inventory records, and project docs.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, vendors, and operations teams.
