Job summary

GCS Recruitment seeks a Controls Engineering Technician (L4/L5) to support deployment, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of mission-critical control systems within large-scale data center environments.

You will work with BMS, BAS, and EPMS, install software, configure controllers, troubleshoot sensors and field devices, and ensure safety, change management, and reliable operations in live facilities. Strong electrical, mechanical, and networking fundamentals are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of directly relevant experience preferred; or 4+ years with degree/certification.
• Experience in controls, building automation, HVAC controls, instrumentation, or equivalent.
• Experience in live data center environments with emphasis on reliability and safety.

Responsibilities

• Configure, provision, and validate controllers, IPCs, HMIs, and related control system hardware.
• Install software, apply configurations, and support system startup activities.
• Verify communications between field devices and control systems.
• Support commissioning of new data center facilities and startup activities.
• Develop and maintain control graphics and operator displays.
• Document troubleshooting, changes, and resolutions.
• Adhere to safety and change management procedures.
