Job summary

Google's AI and Infrastructure team is seeking a Program Manager to lead large-scale data center projects from inception to completion, coordinating stakeholders across offices, time zones, and hemispheres to plan requirements, manage schedules, identify risks, and communicate progress clearly.

You will oversee data center equipment and environments, engage vendors, and ensure on-site daily presence while balancing scope, cost, and schedule in a rapidly evolving hyperscale environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• 5 years of experience managing programs and processes across distributed systems.
• 5 years of experience with data center equipment/environments, including electrical switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems and fire safety systems, and experience with start up/commissioning processes.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and standard practices in the design and construction industry, including track design build processes and associated documents and agreement.
• Ability to be on site daily.

Responsibilities

• Manage data center projects from inception through to completion.
• Support special research and development experiments, renovations, and upgrades of existing facility.
• Be responsible for gathering internal requirements and delivering solutions that satisfy customer needs.
• Maintain end-to-end responsibility from construction to deployment.
• Resolve highly critical issues within matrix organization while maintaining rigorous adherence to project timelines and costs.
