Job summary

BW Design Group is seeking a Controls Engineer for data center projects in Dallas, TX. You will implement and commission control systems, configure networks, and support the deployment of BMS/EPMS solutions across greenfield facilities.

You will spend substantial time on site (75%+) with travel up to 90%, collaborating with engineers, electricians, and clients to ensure safe, reliable, and scalable operations throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience starting up control systems with significant on-site time.
• Willingness to spend 75%+ on site and travel.
• Experience with BMS/EPMS commissioning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and commission control systems for data center projects.
• Configure communication protocols for equipment including switchgear and power meters.
• Lead on-site teams and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Provide hands-on configuration of meters, VFDs, and instrumentation.
• Validate system functionality and support commissioning activities.
